DIE CUTTING SERVICES

< MANUFACTURING

Technological advancements in die cutting have kept it as one of the fastest and most accurate methods of large scale manufacturing for a range of products. The most common products created through die cutting include marketing and promotional material, shop displays and packaging.

Die cutting involves a large die, also known as a cutting forme, being inserted in to a press and used to cut and crease designs out of other materials.

Our in-house die making department uses state of the art technology to prepare our die components which are then precisely assembled by hand.

We then use a variety of presses, including the extreme high throughput Bobst Auto Platen, to process the prepared materials with the forme.

Common Die Cutting Questions

SHOULD I DIE CUT MY PRODUCT?

Die cutting suits a wide range of product manufacturing and is generally the best option for large production runs. Some of the most common items we die cut are promotional stands, packaging, business cards, stickers, shop displays and many other promotional items.

Our staff will be happy to give you a free consultation and help you decide on the best method of manufacturing.

HOW LARGE CAN MY PRODUCT BE?

Our Bobst Platen can handle die cutting formes up to a size of 1600x1200mm. The die cutting formes used to cut the products are usually a bit larger than the CAD designs provided.

Our Roller Press facilities are capable of cutting larger formes but they must be manually fed and cannot benefit from additional tools such as counters and strippers.

WHAT MATERIALS CAN I USE?

Die cutting formes are capable of cutting a wide range of materials of varying thickness and texture. Most commonly are fluted card or corrugated plastics and cardboard, often with a mounted printed sheet. For less conventional materials such as thick plastics, wood or fabrics we have other facilities that better suit them.

Our manufacturing facilities are capable of making all kinds of products using a wide variety of materials.
